On Thursday, January 31, 2019, the "Night of Ideas" entitled "Art in the Present" at Sciences Po Paris will bring together around researcher Laurence Bertrand Dorléac great voices of artistic and architectural creation, leaders of the actions of the Fondation de France, such as architect Patrick Bouchain or visual artist Daniel Buren.

Three conversations will aim to identify the changes in the mechanisms for the production of artworks, the commitment of patrons and the reasons for the artists' actions in the community.

Dialogue between Laurence Bertrand-Dorleac, historian at Sciences Po, Daniel Buren, artist involved in various New Patrons projects in France and Belgium; between François Hers, founder of the protocol of the New Patrons, and Estelle Zhong Mengual, art historian at Sciences Po; and between Patrick Bouchain, architect having notably realized the Bogues du Blat, and Eleftérios Kechagioglou, director of the Plus Petit Cirque du Monde. The introduction will be given from Ljubljana and Liège, by Bruno Latour, philosopher, Sciences Po and Vinciane Despret, philosopher, University of Liège.
